Kano State Govenor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has said that Nigeria needs prayers to overcome insurgency ahead of the 2015 General Elections.
Kwankwaso made this statement during special prayers offered for the state and the nation by prominent Northern Islamic scholars at Kano Government House on Friday.
He said that the northeast crises have resulted in deaths of several people and millions of people have been turned to refugees in neighbouring countries.
He also said that the Kano Central Mosque Bombings was never expected to happen and insurgency in the country will not help national development.
He appealed to the Ulamas to seek Gods intervention so that peace will reign in the country
