Nigeria Army Generals Reveal Challenges Against Boko Haram (Video)

A peculiar video has surfaced on social media showing General David of 3 Battalion, Nigeria Army complaining about the terrible situation being faced by his soldiers on the battle-field against Boko Haram Terrorists.

The one minute, 27 seconds long video released by Sahara Reporters showed exhausted soldiers laying within a ring of armoured vehicles serving as a shield against Boko Haram attacks.

Some of the soldiers appeared wounded while others flanked around General David who seemed to be addressing command headquarters about the situation on ground.

The General said men of 3 Battalion were on ground and fighting hard contrary to reports being circulated that they abandoned their post.

He revealed however that the Battalion was facing challenges as they had sustained casualties from repeated attacks by Boko Haram.

He stated that Troops had met stiff resistance from Boko Haram fighters since last night.

He revealed further that the Battalion was attacked from all sides by at least 15 gun trucks and about 100 rounds of mortar and Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) fire by Boko Haram fighters.

He confirmed that the attacks were intense and the situation was dire as he was on ground alongside another Army General, Gubar.

He stated that both of them were leading troops of 3 Battalion from the front and “no soldier is running away from the front lines.”

He concluded that the men were Battle ready and eager to take the fight to the enemy, but the situation on ground remained very dire.
