The de facto leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu is currently giving a live broadcast in which he has alleged that the Nigeria army led a coordinated assault on his home to murder him and his family.
Nnamdi Kanu is his current life broadcast said that the Nigerian army invaded his home to kill him and his family, saying men elements of the army killed one of his cousins alongside his dog ‘jack’.
He also accused the Governor of Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of coordinating the attack on his home which involved 28 soldiers, saying the attack was also enabled due to the infighting within IPOB.

As he progressed in the broadcast, he also assured the immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose of the support of IPOB as he stands trial with the ECC.
Nnamdi Kanu also went further to thank the ex-Niger Delta Militant Leader, Asari Dokubo who he described as a brother.
“I want to send my solidarity to @GovAyoFayose and assure him that Biafra will stand by him in this hour of need, we will have a special place for him in Biafra, I thank all my sureties that stood by me, my unavailability was forced on me.” He said.
The IPOB leader further accused the Nigerian Government of trying to kill him because the court case instituted against him held no water.
At the highpoint of his broadcast, Nnamdi Kanu following in the footsteps of late Odumegwu Ojwukwu declared the state of Biafra and banned his followers from participating in any political activity involving the Nigerian state.
“I decree that there is no longer South East or South-South Nigeria, it shall be known as Biafra, without referendum nothing will happen in Nigeria. IPOB will not participate in any election and that position will never change”
