A former Minister of Finance, Sen. Nenadi Esther Usman, has lost her niece hours after her name purportedly appeared on a list of 50 persons banned from travelling by the Federal Government travel ban announcement.

A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, made this known in a Monday morning tweet via his verified Twitter handle and in a WhatsApp message to The Eagle Online.

Fani-Kayode is being tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alongside Usman over their alleged complicity in the $2.1 billion expended by the office of the National Security Adviser during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s regime, Sambo Dasuki.

Usman was finance minister between July 2006 and May 2007 and, according to The Nation, appeared on the list like Fani-Kayode.

According to him, the unnamed niece was trailed and shot dead in Abuja by four policemen.

He did not state how and why she was shot.
