Nick Gordon has been thrown a huge blow as the judge presiding over his case against the Brown’s has ordered him to pay more than $36 million to the family of his deceased girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina.
The verdict came two months after Gordon was found legally responsible for the death of late Whitney Houston’s daughter who died in July 2015 at age 22.
Bobbi Kristina died days after she was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub at her Georgia home which she shared with Gordon.
Following her rescue from the bath tub, Bobbi went into coma for weeks until she was finally pronounced dead.
Speaking after the verdict was delivered, Bobby, the deceased’s father said: “I am pleased with the outcome of today’s court proceedings.”
He continued: “I do know that Mr. Gordon will be unable to slander my daughter’s name in the future or obtain any benefits from the use of Krissy’s name.”
“Finally, I do need for the District Attorney’s Office to step up and
begin the criminal prosecution of Mr. Gordon. The delay in that matter is of great concern to me and my family. We need for District Attorney Howard to act now.”
The fine $36 million fine Mr. Gordon was ordered to pay by the court includes a $15 million present value of life, $13.8 million for pain and suffering and $1.37 million for assault and battery.
The lawsuit which was filed by the estate agency had alleged that Bobbi Kristina “died due to a violent altercation” with Gordon, after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture.”
The estate attorney, R. David Ware in a statement released to E! News further noted: “We intend to pursue, with all vigor, the full collection of the judgment.”
