FIFA’s deadline to NFF is due today; the Football regulating body had earlier instructed the NFF to resolve its election crisis by today, September 8 or risk facing a Ban.
FIFA instructed that should any person still claim to be president of NFF and still occupy the presidential office by Monday, it will react will the aforementioned punishment.
The NFF Glass house in Abuja is currently not occupied by Chris Giwa or Aminu Maigari reports SuperSport, NFF general-secretary Musa Amadu, competitions director Mohammed Sanusi and marketing head Idris Adama
who were members of Maigari team overthrown from power were seen at the Headquarters.
“It has been a trying period of two months for all of us but we have come to the end of the crisis,” “Nigerian football is far more important than any one of us. Let us put everything behind us. We have to now do the right thing in order to move our football forward.” Amadu said.
No tutelage have yet been issued by FIFA on how they want NFF to proceed with the new election, however Amadu hinted that the Federation is working towards one.
“We will soon have an extra-ordinary assembly to set a date for elections for the new executive committee. This will be at the shortest possible time, not beyond September 25.” Amadu told reporters.
