The Brazilian team doctor in charge of Neymar’s recovery, Rodrigo Lasmar, has told newsmen that the 26-year-old Ballon D’Or finalist is working hard to recover from the foot injury he sustained on February 26 during PSG’s 3-0 defeat of Marseille.
Lasmar told GloboEsporte: “Neymar is recovering the best way possible. He is working hard and the expectation is that he will arrive well-prepared so he can take part in excellent World Cup Training. ”
Neymar said that he would not return to the pitch until the May 17 which is the day of his final medical examination.
After stating that Neymar would soon be returning to the club training ground, PSG also added: “This report confirmed a very satisfactory development of the foot and ankle injuries.”
“The rest of the rehabilitation programme will take place in the coming days in Brazil and at (PSG’s) Ooredoo training centre”
Neymar is currently recovering in a Rio de Janeiro coastal mansion after his surgery in Belo Horizonte on March 3.
