Controversial Brazilian forward Neymar Jr was handed a three champions league match ban for insulting match officials after Paris Saint Germain crashed out to a VAR decision in their match against Manchester United last season.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport last week reduced Neymar’ s ban to two matches.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward was originally handed a three-match ban after he labelled the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system “a disgrace” following his side’s elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Manchester United last season.

United were awarded a decisive injury time penalty in that game for a handball against Presnel Kimpembe and afterwards, Neymar vented his fury via his official Instagram account.

But PSG lodged an appeal against the suspension in June and on Tuesday, the CAS confirmed the ban would be reduced to two matches.
