Paris Saint-German forward, Neymar Jr. has revealed he wants to play alongside former Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi once again.
He spoke to ESPN on Wednesday night after PSG beat Manchester United 3-1 in their UEFA Champions League Group H return leg encounter.
The duo enjoyed a highly successful time at Barcelona between 2013 and 2017 and, alongside Luis Suarez, became Europe’s most fearsome attacking trio.
In their time together at Camp Nou, the duo scored numerous goals and got many assists between them that helped Barcelona win the LaLiga title twice and the Champions League once, along with three Copa del Rey titles.
In a move that shocked the world, Neymar left the club for PSG in a world-record €222 million transfer deal.
He has since been linked with a return to the club and was on the verge of rejoining last season.
The 33-year-old Messi on the other hand was close to forcing a move out of Barcelona in the summer and only stayed after it became clear the case was heading for the courts.
However, he becomes a free agent when his contract expires next summer and has been linked with several elite clubs in Europe, notably Manchester City, PSG, and Inter.

While it remains unclear where Neymar and Messi will link up again, the 28-year-old Brazilian is very optimistic it could still happen as early as next summer.
“What I want the most is to enjoy playing with him again,” Neymar said.
Asked where that dream reunion could take place, he said, “He can play in my role, it wouldn’t be a problem with me!”
Neymar added, “For sure, next year we have to do it.”
