The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned Victor Giadom, who is laying claim to the position of Acting National Chairman of the party.
The NWC also ratified Deputy National Chairman (South), Senator Abiola Ajimobi as Acting National Chairman of the party.
According to the NWC, Giadom’s membership of the committee ceased when he resigned to contest the Deputy Governorship position in Rivers State.
The APC National Vice-Chairman (South- South), Hilliard Eta, who addressed the media soon after Giadom left the party Secretariat, said preparations for the Edo Governorship primary was on course.
The Herald had reported how Giadom, the Deputy National Secretary of the party, laid claim to being the rightful Acting National Chairman following a judgement of the FCT High Court.
In a Tuesday statement by his lawyer, Chief Wole Afolabi, the claimant maintained that the order of the FCT High Court issued on March 16, 2020, by Hon. Justice S.U Bature in Suit No. FCT/HC/M/6447/2020 to the effect that Chief Victor Giadom is to act as the National Chairman of the party following the suspension of Oshiomhole remains valid.
