New Italy coach Roberto Mancini has recalled Nice striker, Mario Balotelli to the national team.
Mancini, who quit Zenit St. Petersburg to take over the Azzurri side, was Balotelli’s manager at English Premier League champions Manchester City.
The 27-year-old will be part of Italy’s side to play friendlies against Saudi Arabia, France, and the Netherlands.
Balotelli, who scored 13 goals in 33 appearances for Italy, last played for his nation since their inglorious exit from the group stages at the 2014 World Cup.
The Azzurri sent shock waves around the world when they failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the first time in six decades.
