Nerd Wars: See the most epic tweet burn between Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com

1 Min Read

Twitter fueds are no new thing, celebrities have them all the time, but when two voocabulary accounts for dictionaries have a go, then it’s one for the ages.

So, Dictionary.com tweeted a quote from author Abigail Reynolds next to an Instagram-esque photo of a woman holding a cup of coffee. The quote read: “I like my coffee with cream and my literature with optimism.”

Merriam-Webster weren’t having it though and they got right back at dictionary.com for what they felt was a slightly inaccurate tweet.
