The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confiscated a total of 73 bags containing banned substance – cannabis, in Oshogbo, Osun state’s capital.
According to Daily Trust, the agency had embarked on a mop-up operation in the state in a bid to ensure safety and prevent irregularities during the February elections.
They specifically targetted black spots in the state since there was a high probability that banned drugs would be smuggled into other parts of the country though those regions.
Until now, only one suspect has been arrested as no other person has been linked to criminal act yet.
