The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has slammed its sledgehammer on about 18 songs deemed as Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB).
Among the songs banned by the commission are In My Bed by Wizkid, Fans Mi by Davido (featuring American rapper Meek Mill), Shakiti Bobo by Olamide and Gift by Iyanya featuring Don Jazzy.
According to the NBC directive, the songs will not be aired on Free-to-air channels as a result if elements such as vulgar lyrics, obscene scenes and violence.

NBC also banned 3 foreign songs: Nicki Minaj‘s Anaconda, Post to be by Omarion featuring Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko and Ace Hood’s collaboration with Rick Ross titled Bugatti.
The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation is the government parastatal responsible for regulating the broadcast industry. Established on August 24, 1992, the NBC derives its powers from Act 38 of 1992 and Act 55 of 1999 (amended).
