The governor of Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, has tested negative to the deadly coronavirus disease.
This was announced in a press released issued on the official page of the Nasarawa State Government on Wednesday, March 25.
The statement also revealed that although the governor tests negative to coronavirus, precautionary measures have been implemented and the governor is current under self-isolation in other reduce exposure to the disease.
The statement reads:
“This is to inform the general public that His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has taken the precautionary measure to self- isolate and work from home so as to reduce exposure to the COVID -19 virus.

“Engineer Sule had earlier invited the medical team to conduct comprehensive tests on his person and obtain samples. All results so far show that he is negative.
“The public will be kept abreast of any new developments as regards the health status of His Excellency, Abdullahi Sule.”

Meanwhile, apatient who has been suspected of carrying the deadly coronavirus disease in Nasarawa State has been placed under isolation at the specialist hospital in Lafia, the state capital.
In a report gathered by Channels Television, the Commissioner of Health in the state, Ahmad Yahaya, disclosed that the patient was quarantined on Wednesday after showing some symptoms related to coronavirus.
Yahaya said;
“He was admitted at the casualty unit of the specialist hospital after he came down with symptoms that are suggestive of the virus.
