The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), JCC Lagos, joins the world in celebrating the International Students’ Day 2023.
The Herald reports that the International Students’ Day is an international observance of the student community, held globally on November 17 as a nonpolitical celebration of the multiculturalism of students.
In a statement sent to this news medium by Comrade Alimi Lekan Idris, the Chairman, NANS JJC Lagos, the students’ union reflected on the challenges students face worldwide.
“This day serves as a global acknowledgment of the crucial role that students play in shaping the future. As we celebrate the diversity of cultures, ideas, and aspirations within the student community, let us also reflect on the challenges that students face worldwide.
“Our educational journey is a shared experience that transcends borders, and it is essential that we unite to address common issues affecting students globally. Education is the cornerstone of progress, and as the leaders of tomorrow, students bear the responsibility of fostering positive change in our society.

“On this World International Students Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to promoting quality education, advocating for the rights of students, and fostering an environment that encourages intellectual growth and innovation. In the face of the ongoing challenges, we must work collaboratively to ensure that no student is left behind.
Let us strive for inclusivity, access, and equality in education, paving the way for a brighter future for all.

– THE ESTABLISHMENT AND PROPER CONFORMATION OF A STUDENT UNION IN LAGOS STATE COLLEGE OF NURSING IGANDO
– Establishment of a Direct Line of Communication with security operatives in Lagos.
– Processing the reinstatement of UNILAG Students’ Union
