Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, has said he had “gone in the cell” and has been arrested “125 times” during his stay in England.
He disclosed this in a video which surfaced online barely a few hours after his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on allegations of internet fraud.
The singer, whose real name is Afeez Fashola, said in the Instagram video, “124 times in England I’ve been arrested, gone in the cell . Let me tell you, you don’t know nothing about me.”

“I’m not into singing love songs or slow jam songs. I sing gang music from the early. I’m a gangster.”
Naira Marley has been in the news following his collaborative single with Zlatan Ibile titled ‘Am I a Yahoo Boy’.
He was arrested alongside Zlatan Ibile by EFCC operatives during a raid on the controversial singer’s home in the early hours of Friday, May 10, 2019.
The commission also paraded three others: Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode; Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses; and Abubakar Musa, who reportedly stayed over in Marley’s home.
