The former Katsina State Governoe, Mr. Ibrahim Shema who was declared wanted on Wednesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly turned himself in.
Speaking on the development, an aide to the ex-governor, Mr. Oluwabusola Olawale revealed that the Ex-governor submitted himself for questioning at the EFCC’s office at around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Olawale added that the move is in line with Mr. Shema’s law abiding status and as a citizen “who has absolutely nothing to fear.”
Recall that Mr, Shema was declared wanted in connection with “criminal conspiracy, inflation of contract, abuse of office, diversion of funds and embezzlement running into billions of naira”.
The said allegations against him by the EFCC was reported to have run into about N68billion.
