A former Vice President, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku is reportedly at loggerheads with the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu for refusing to pay back borrowed funds for campaign.

According to Signalng, Tinubu, a former Lagos state governor, has refused to repay a loan of N1 billion which he reportedly collected from Atiku during the 2015 presidential campaign.

A source close to both parties revealed on Monday, that political juggernauts may be heading for a showdown following the breach of contract.

The source hinted: “Both men have managed to keep the issue out of the media space because of the sensitive nature, but there is a strong bone of contention between them.

“The issue is that Tinubu obtained a loan of N1 billion from Atiku during the 2015 presidential campaign and promised to repay the loan after the elections, but he’s not even ready to talk about it now and Atiku is sore pissed.”
