A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the arrest of Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, over allegations of fraud levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with a N13 billion land contracts for the construction of a Maritime University.
Recall that the EFCC had invited Tompolo for questioning in connection with the matter on December 10th, 2015, an invitation he spurned.
He defended his decision to spurn the invitation, claiming he was in court against the agency.
According to reports, EFCC proceeded to freeze the accounts of two companies linked to the ex-militant over unspecified reasons.
The names of the companies were given as Mieka Divers Limited and Global West Vessel Specialists Nigeria Limited.
