According to TMZ, the rapper’s attorney disclosed that Mystikal whose real name is Michael Tyler posted a hefty bond of $3 million, securing his release from the Louisiana prison.
The money reportedly sourced from an advance for a new recording deal, and funds put together by Mystikal’s close relations.
Tyler had been imprisoned since August 2017 when he bagged both a first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping charge against him.

He is set to enjoy freedom until his pending trial in May, next year.
Another legal representative for the rapper, Joel Pearce expressed confidence in their case.
He said, “Based on all of the evidence we have, we strongly believe that an amicable resolution is not only possible but probable as an outcome in this case and that Michael Tyler will never be made to return to jail for a crime he didn’t commit.”
