Former Aston Villa captain, Gabriel Agbonlaho, has slammed Chelsea’s January signing, Mykhailo Mudryk, describing the Ukrainian as ‘absolutely useless’.
Agbonlahor feels that Mudryk’s cameo against Nottingham Forest on Saturday added nothing to the losing Chelsea side.
According to the former striker, manager Mauricio Pochettino also needs to change his Chelsea formation.
The Blues were beaten 1-0 at home by Steve Cooper’s men, their second defeat of the season.
Anthony Elanga netted shortly after half-time in a shock 1-0 win for the visitors.
Just like they did against West Ham last weekend, Chelsea dominated possession with 77% of the ball and had 21 shots, but just two were on target.
Elanga would have made it two for Forest but he hit the post after Mudryk gave away the ball.
Agbonlahor told talkSPORT, “They[Chelsea] have bought loads of players who are average.
“Mudryk came on, and he nearly gave away two goals!
“He was absolutely useless. He’s had 19 games, zero goals and they haven’t got a style of play.”
