A customary court in Agege has granted divorce to a Pastor and his wife over alleged infidelity and threat to life. Pastor Sunday Owonikoko, petitioned the court on May 27th concerning a dispute he had with his wife over her “ex-lovers”.
According to the pastor, “My wife once traveled to Ghana to meet one of her concubines. She did family planning without my consent and she goes out at will.
“She was suspended from the church for six months because she fought all ministers in the church. She then established her church, she fought all the members of the church, and they all left.”
He added, ““I want the court to dissolve the union and grant me custody of my children.”
The wife, Bolajoko, had allegations of her own. According to her, the Pastor husband had slept with almost all the sisters in the church and is currently involved in an adulterous relationship with a mother of seven.
She said: “My husband is adulterous. He has slept with almost all the sisters in the church. A mother of seven is presently living with himand he has made the woman an evangelist.“
She added that he lost his sanity after eating vegetable soup in the house of one of the sisters in the church. She also said she did not love him and wanted a divorce.
