Music Producer Claims Unfair Treatment at Former Label, Mercy Chinwo Reaches Out With Support

1 Min Read

Music producer Dr. Roy has come forward with allegations of mistreatment from his former record label, Eezee Concept Records, owned by Ezekiel ThankGod, also known as EeZee Tee. In a recent interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Dr. Roy accused the label boss of withholding financial gains even after producing hit tracks like “Excess Love” for gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

Dr. Roy claims Chinwo, who was also signed to Eezee Concept Records at the time, was unaware of his situation. “For the onset, Mercy did not know what was happening,” he stated. He expressed concern that Chinwo might have also faced similar treatment, but clarified he had not informed her about his struggles “for Mercy’s sake.”

However, Dr. Roy’s comments sparked speculation that Chinwo had neglected to offer support. Following the interview, Dr. Roy felt compelled to clarify his stance on social media. He emphasized his respect for Chinwo’s talent and character, stating, “My remarks were aimed at the record label owner I worked for. Mercy Chinwo helped me when my father had a stroke, she helped me when he died.” Dr. Roy went on to deny any claims suggesting otherwise.
