Ali Jr, only biological son to popular boxing champion Muhammad Ali known as ‘The Greatest’ has reacted to the violent Black Lives protests that rocked America in recent weeks, following the alleged murder of George Floyd by white Police Officer.
The protests erupted in different cities and some black community members seized the moment to unleash mayhem in the country.
Designer stores such as Nike, Louis Vuitton were looted and many African Americans were captured on camera carting away goods worth millions of dollars.
Reacting to the incident, Ali Jr said his father would have called the protesters ‘Racists’ and ‘Devils’ who want to unleash mayhem under the pretext of fighting for black lives.
This is however surprising because the boxing Champion Mohammad Ali the Greatest lived his life constantly fighting against racism meted to the black community.
Ali Jr told New York Post;
‘‘My father would have said, ‘They ain’t nothing but devils.’ My father said, ‘all lives matter.’ I don’t think he’d agree.
“Don’t bust up s–t, don’t trash the place, You can peacefully protest.”
When asked to share his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement,The 47 year-old son of the Boxing Champion shared the same opinion as his dad saying he believes in the equality of all lives regardless of its race.
He said:
“I think it’s racist.”
“It’s not just black lives matter, white lives matter, Chinese lives matter, all lives matter, everybody’s life matters. God loves everyone — he never singled anyone out. Killing is wrong no matter who it is,”
He also noted that the Police officers involved involved in Floyd’s death were only doing their job.
Ali Jr disclosed the video was doctored intentionally to incriminate the officers as the full video was not available for viewing on social media.
Ali Jr claimed Floyd had aggressively resisted arrest.
“The officer was wrong with killing that person, but people don’t realize there was more footage than what they showed. The guy resisted arrest, the officer was doing his job, but he used the wrong tactic.”
