Mobile communications giant, MTN, recently dropped some top Nigerian music acts as ambassadors.
Some of the dropped acts include Ace pop star, Davido, Producer Don Jazzy and Mavins Queen, Tiwa Savage.
MTN did no give any reason for dropping these acts.
However, according to TheNet.ng, these A-list acts have been grumbling in the background, regarding the quality of treatment they get from the telco.
They also bemoaned the fact that their colleagues signed to rival brands get more money, more incentives and leverage.
A highly placed source disclosed that “MTN is doing so much to cut costs and the fact that the A-list acts demanded for more money to renew their deals gave them a clean opportunity to dump them”
Other acts dropped included Dr. Sid, Sound Sultan, Banky W, KCee and Harrysong.
