Mr Macaroni Reacts To Inclusion On Tunde Kelani’s “Ayinla” Biopic

Rave-of-the-moment Instagram comedian, Debo Adebayo aka Mr. Macaroni says he is elated to be among the cast for Tunde Kelani’s upcoming movie project, “Ayinla”.

The biopic is centred on the music career of late legendary Apala musician, Ayinla Waheed Yusuf, popularly known as Ayinla Omowura.

In a Thursday statement he personally signed, Mr Macaroni said, “I am elated to be a part of this groundbreaking project by the Legend himself! A Custodian of our Arts and Culture; Tunde Kelani.

“For years Tunde Kelani has continued to use Theatre to reveal past, present and future events that are of great relevance to our society.

“The Movie AYINLA is the latest of such developments. Tunde Kelani’s new project is a representation of the life and time of the Late Musical Icon;  Ayinla Omowura whose music till date has impacted millions of people home and abroad.

“I am delighted to be working with another Theatre Icon and Africa’s pride; Kunle Afolayan whose works continue to project Nigeria’s Talents, arts, culture and values all over the world.

“This project parades great and amazing talents that I am absolutely honored to be working with.

Ayinla Omowura, whose music draws a cult following among many elderly Yoruba men, died at the peak of his career in 1980 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, during a brawl with one of his band members.
