Nigerian comedian, Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof, has taken to social media to express his disappointment with singer Duncan Mighty, accusing him of failing to perform at his concert in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid N3 million for the gig.
According to Mr Jollof, he paid Duncan Mighty a booking fee of N2 million and an additional N1 million for logistics. However, the comedian claims that Duncan Mighty did not show up for the event, even after extending the concert’s duration from midnight to 3 am in the hope that the singer would arrive.
In a video message shared on his Instagram page, Mr Jollof stated, “After the show closed around 3:27 am, I sent Duncan Mighty a video, informing him that the event has ended, that he should turn back, and I sent him my account details to refund me.”
Expressing his frustration, Mr Jollof revealed that the next day he received an alert of N800,000 from Duncan Mighty instead of the agreed N3 million. He called on those close to the singer to advise him to refund the full amount.
In a similar vein, Mr Jollof also called out DJ Barbie for her alleged non-appearance at the same event, despite receiving a payment of N600,000. When Mr Jollof requested a refund, he claimed that DJ Barbie blocked him on social media, accusing him of bullying.
The comedian is seeking a full refund from both Duncan Mighty and DJ Barbie.
