Former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has described Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi as “god of football”.
The 56-year-old Portuguese manager said this while reacting to Liverpool’s 3-0 loss to Barcelona in the semi-final first leg played at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.
Messi scored two goals, including an otherworldly freekick, in the pulsating encounter.

He equally grabbed two goals in the 3-0 defeat of Manchester United in the quarter final return fixture in April.
Speaking with Manchester Evening News about Wednesday’s humiliation of Liverpool, Mourinho praised Messi to the highest heavens.
“God of Football made it completely different,” he said while reacting to Messi’s contributing in the game.
