Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho has often waved off questions concerning Diego Costa’s injury problem.
The Brazilian born striker who started in an impressive form for Chelsea was sidelined in the Blues’ last three games as a result of his hamstring injury.
Diego Costa had been suffering from the injury problem for sometime but Mourinho indicated that Spain coach, Vicente del Bosque worsened the situation by fielding the Spaniard for back-to-back games against Slovakia and Luxembourg at the start of October
“He has the hamstring [problem] because he played two matches in three days when he was not with us.” the Chelsea manager said.
“It was hard, he had to go to the hospital and obviously it doesn’t help him to recover from his injury. But he didn’t play on Sunday because of the injury, not
because of the virus.”
Mourinho confirmed that Costa would be fit for Saturday’s Premier League game against QPR but that he’s likely to also return to his national team in November.
