Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, has taken his country’s FA to task, accusing them of ignoring his demand for answers.
The striker has been embroiled in a row with the Egyptian football association after the body promoted pictures of him alongside controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and Salah was then made an honorary citizen of the republic, in which the national team were based at the World Cup.
The prolific Liverpool forward was partially injured during Egypt’s brief run in the World Cup and was therefore not as effective. He was only able to manage one goal in the tournament.
The forward is supposed to play with Egypt for their match against Niger in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier

But this has been shrouded in doubt due to this particular debacle.
According to Salah, the Egyptian FA has been ignoring his messages demanding answers and seeking clarification that such an image rights violation won’t occur again.
“It’s normal that a football federation seeks to solve the problems of its players so they can feel comfortable,” he said on Twitter
“But in fact, what I see is exactly the opposite. It is not normal that my messages and my lawyer’s letters are ignored…
“I do not know why all this [is happening]? Do you not have time to respond to us?!”
