Militants have yet again launched an attack on an oil installation in the Niger Delta region.
The latest attack which was carried out in the early hours of today, Friday was confirmed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The militant group blew up an oil pipeline in the southern Bayelsa state operated by a subsidiary of Italy’s Eni.
The NSCDC however noted that none of the militant groups has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Speaking on the attack which took place at Lasukugbene, the NSCDC spokesman, Desmond Agwu said: “There was a blast (on the) pipeline and my men were exchanging fire with some of the hoodlums”.
