Former Chelsea player, Mikel Obi and his new teammates at Middlesbrough, luckily escaped a plane accident as their plane got grounded just before they boarded it.
Football Live reported that the Super Eagles captain other footballers were ready to leave the Rodney Parade Arena after their match on Saturday but their flights got postponed because the aircraft allegedly had an engine failure problem.
Had it been that the problem was not discovered early enough, the whole team could have been endangered as the plane could have crashed while in the air.
Since the plane was not fit to take off, the team had to travel by bus to their destination.
