News going around the sports circuit is that Galatasary of Turkey has been in talks with the representatives of Super eagles star “Mikel Obi” over a possible transfer, but it is more unlikely that there will be any deal soon as Chelsea insisted on making a permanent deal for the player.
Chelsea FC have made it clear to clubs interested in signing John Obi Mikel that they have to meet the estimated 15 million pounds (about N3.7b) value placed on the Super Eagles attacking midfielder.
Mikel has a contract with Chelsea till June 2016/17 after he recently signed a new, improved deal at the London club.
It was gathered that representatives of the player were in Dubai to meet with Galatasaray officials and it was there that talks collapsed.
Big-spending Russian club Anzhi have made an offer for Mikel, who has in turn asked for an improvement, while French big spenders Monaco are yet to put an offer on the table for the player.
