Coalition for New Nigera ( CNN), a civil society group has asked Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisah Metuh to stop using statements that might incite the public against the Director General of the Directorate of State Services, Alhaji Lawal Daura.
The group in a statement signed by Arthur Igwe and Prince Stanley Okorie, National Coordinator and National Secretary said Metuh is not showing some sense of reason especially on issues of national importance.
The statement read “Our coalition advises Metuh and his co-travelers to desist from such unwarranted attack on such strategic state institution like the DSS as the appointment of Alhaji Daura as Director General was well deserved and Metuh’s call for his removal as distracting and unfounded.
“Alhaji Daura is competent, experienced and a qualified retired officer of the Service who has served in various capacities including as State Director to several state before his retirement. President Buhari has not breached any part of the constitution in the appointment of Daura and Nigerians are not happy with Metuh over his unreasonable statements.”
The group urged PDP to stop engaging in non-issues that will hot advance national interest in any form.
