Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has said that Barcelona star, Lionel Messi would not leave the club.

The Italian said this after the diminutive Argentine inspired a 3-0 routing of Chelsea at the Camp Nou in the last-16 of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Aside putting two goals past Thibaut Courtois, Messi also set up Ousmane Dembele’s first goal for the club.

His second goal took him to 100 UCL goals.

Since breaking into the Barcelona first team in 2004, Messi has been linked to the best clubs across Europe.

But Conte said the 30-year-old would never leave Barcelona as he is writing a great history with the club.

He said, “I think Leo wants to stay until the end of his career with Barcelona.

“We’re talking about an impossible situation. I repeat: we must have great respect for this player. We are talking about a fantastic player.

“I think he wants to stay in Barcelona for the end of his career. I think it’s the right way for him. He’s writing with his teammates a great story with Barcelona.”
