The police charged John Onah and John Stephen with criminal trespass, intimidation and defamation of character.

The Prosecutor, Babajide Olanipekun, told the court that the defendants entered Unity Clinic, Phase 4, Kubwa where the complainant, Dr. Daniel Anikwe, works with intent to annoy and endanger human lives on June 29.

Olanipekun alleged that the defendants threatened to kill Anikwe  or cause him harm and accused him of selling a fake and expired medication, Mystomate 4 .

He said the defendants accused Anikwe knowing that it could injure his reputation, adding that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 348, 397 and 392 of the Penal Code.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

The Judge, Mr Muhammad Adamu, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N200, 000 each with one reasonable surety in like sum, resident within the court’s jurisdiction.

Adamu also ordered that the sureties must present means of identification.

He adjourned the case until Aug.13 for hearing.
