Meek Mill could be a Free Man in a matter of days

2 Min Read

Just as MMG firebrand Meek Mill was building anticipation for the October release date of his sophomore album Dreams Worth More Than Money, a Philadelphia judge halted his plans, sentencing him to three to six months in jail for probation violations. Those violations included booking out of state show dates without permission, and failing to provide a working telephone number for his probation officer—Meek remains on probation stemming from 2008 drug and gun charges.

Now, it appears that his time behind bars may be numbered. Earlier, AHH shared an update hinting that Meek was “coming home ANY DAY NOW.” Since the cat is out of the bag, we can definitely say that a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to us that the Philly rapper’s freedom is very imminent. While we can’t pinpoint the specific date, it should be in the coming days.

Besides starting the roll out for his album, Meek made headlines for a much publicised spat with his Maybach Music Group label mate Wale. The status of that relationship is only one of many questions awaiting the Philly native once he hits the bricks. Will he be going back in to record new music for his album? How will the terms of his probation change following his stint in jail, if at all, and will it affect his ability to travel? How does this setback affect how he and the Dreamchasers will operate going forward?

The answers will come soon enough, but until then get your earplugs ready.
