JUST IN: MC Oluomo’s Mother passes away, aged 87

Alhaja Abebi, Zinat Omotonwo, mother of the Chairman, NURTW Lagos State, Alhaji Musiliu, Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), has passed away early Thursday morning.

Alhaja Abebi, Zinat Omotonwo, The mother of NURTW Chairman, Lagos State chapter, Alhaji Musiliu, Ayinde popular known as MC Oluomo, has passed away in the early hours of Thursday.

This was made known in a statement issued by MC Oluomo’s Media and Publicity team on Thursday Morning.

 

MC Oluomo’s mother, who was 87,  and a Muslim until her demise passed away peacefully in her Lagos state residence located near Ejigbo, NNPC.

 

Alhaja Abebi, Zinat Omotonwo is survived by children, grand children and other members of her extended family

 

According to the statement, she will be buried today (Thursday) at her residence, in accordance to the Islamic rites.

The members of the MC Oluomo family, however, expressed their appreciation to everyone that had been calling to sympathize with the family since the news broke.

 

The family said that they appreciate the concerns of friends and colleagues and uses this avenue to inform the public that the burial will be attended strictly by family members Only.

“We appreciate and understand that there are so many people who would have loved to pay their last respect to our late Mother Alhaja Abebi Zinat Omotonwo but will be unable to do so due to the present ban on large gatherings.

 

Alhaji Musiliu, Ayinde Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo was inaugurated as Chairman, Lagos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), seven months ago, in September of 2019. He has charged himself to change and improve the face of the Union, collaborate with the state government and build a better commercial transportation system in the state.
