Fatimoh Issah, a housewife based in Ilorin, Kwara State, has been remanded in custody of the Nigerian Prisons service for allegelfy murdering her husband.
Fatimoh is accused of killing her husband via blunt force trauma, after she hit him over the head as a result of an argument over who fathered the child she is currently pregnant with.
PMNews reports that the Police First Information Report, FIR, on the matter revealed that the accused callously used a big stone to hit the deceased during an argument as the deceased alleged that the pregnancy her wife was carrying belonged to another man.
According to the report, the husband, aged 48, died before he could get any medical attention.
Magistrate Folashade Lawal upheld the submission of the prosecutor, Inspector Godwin Asua, praying the court not to admit the accused to bail as investigation into the case was still on-going.
