Manchester United have made a £99.5million (138m euros) offer to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, according to reports.
United were strongly linked with a deal for Bale at the start of the summer only to focus on other transfer targets.
However, respected Spanish outlet COPE says United have rekindled their interest and a £99.5m offer has been made to bring Bale to Old Trafford.
Madrid are believed to have rejected the bid, but Louis van Gaal remains keen on trying to sign the flying Welshman.
United have £120million to spend on transfers this summer and while Bale would eat up a huge amount of their budget, he would be a quality buy.
