An air passenger on Monday afternoon urinated on a fellow passenger, causing a massive brawl aboard a flight from Algiers, Algeria to Paris, France after his request to be allowed to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes was denied.
The unruly passenger, whose name was not given, was aboard an Air Mediterranee flight when the bizarre incident happened.
Fellow passengers told French Media that the man wandered around shirtless on the plane, causing the crew to overpower him.
For safety reasons, the 90-flight was diverted to Lyons and the man escorted from the plane before the journey was continued, Daily Mail reports.
The diversion caused passengers to arrive at their destination three hours behind schedule.
This is not an usual occurrence, as a man was in September 2015 removed from a plane in the city of Portland, Oregon, United States after he was accused of urinating on fellow passengers on a JetBlue flight from Anchorage, Alaska.
The 27-year-old man, who had been sleeping for most of the flight, stood up and began urinating through the space between the seats in front of him.
A police report said he lost his balance and fell backwards, spraying urine on other passengers, seats and luggage.
