Man U targeting new ‘Didier Drogba’

Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Fulham wonderkid Moussa Dembele who has been likened to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Dembele who shares the exact name with former Fulham midfielder Moussa Dembele joined the Cottagers over the summer from French side Paris Saint-Germain last for a fee of under £300,000 last year and has been earning rave reviews for his performances for the Under-21 side.

The 17-year old featured in a recent under-21 match for Fulham against Manchester United and the youngster certainly caught the eye of the United assistant manager Steve Round as well as Phil Neville and Nicky Butt who also had been present in a coaching capacity to watch Darren Fletcher making a return on the pitch after a long lay-off.

It is believed that Round has recommended the Frenchman to David Moyes and has urged the Scotsman to snap up the striker as soon as possible.

Dembele has signed a professional contract with the Cottagers till 2015 so United will be entitled to pay a fee if they are to bring the striker to Old Trafford.
