A 25-year-old man was shot dead early Thursday outside the high-end Dream Downtown hotel — where rapper Busta Rhymes showed up to party later on that night.
The victim was blasted in the lower torso in front of the hotel on West 16th Street near Ninth Avenue around 12:20 a.m., according to police.

EMS rushed the victim to Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting happened during a dispute between the victim — who was from Brooklyn and not a hotel guest — and another man, cops said.
The suspect took off in a Jeep with other men, according to police. It was unclear whether he was the driver or a passenger.
The victim’s name has not been released, pending family notification.
Hours after the shooting, rapper Busta Rhymes was spotted leaving the PHD Rooftop Lounge, the nightclub within the hotel.
The rapper, wearing an orange and black patterned shirt, was one of several people shown in photos congregating outside the hotspot around 4 a.m.
