The accused, however, pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against him.

Following his guilty plea, the Chief Magistrate, Mr E. O. Ogunkanmi, remanded him in prison pending sentence, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

According to Police Prosecutor Adegeshin Famuyiwa, the accused committed the offences on Oct. 20 at Nichemtex Estate,

Famuyiwa told the court that the accused set fire to his father’s house which burnt the windows and clothes.

He also threatened to kill his father, Mr Patrick Anyaka with a dangerous weapon.

The offences contravened Sections 56, 341 (a) and 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015 (Revised).
