A man who disappeared on the 18th of September after leaving Rhode Island marina to go on a fishing trip has been rescued by a passing freighter.
Nathan Carman, 22 went out to sea with his mother Linda-is still unaccounted for and presumed dead.
The pair went on a fishing trip on Nathan’s 31-foot boat named Chicken Pox.
The Coast Guard is not exactly sure what happened as no distress call was made from the boat. They hope to get more information when Nathan comes on shore.
The Coast Guard said they have no plans to reopen the search for Nathan’s mother.
“We are beyond the survivability window” the Coast Guard spokesman said.
