An unidentified man in Lagos has committed suicide by jumping into the Lagos Lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge on Friday morning.
The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command disclosed this in a tweet via its Twitter handle.
The squad also shared photos of efforts to rescue the man, which later proved abortive.
“A man has jumped into the Lagoon from Third Mainland Bridge. RRS riders got to the scene almost immediately and radioed for assistance from the Marine Police, Lagos State Government rescue boats and local divers who recovered the corpse . The remains have been taken to Ebute Ero division,” the squad tweeted.
