A horror crash has claimed the life of a heart and kidney transplant patient just hours after the transplant was successfully carried out.
The 36-year-old patient, James Larson met with his death as he was being transported to a rehabilitation facility yesterday after he regained consciousness from the surgical process.
The conveying ambulance he was being transported in ran down a highway slamming into an overpass and killing the occupants of the vehicle, including James.
According to Newsday, Mr. James who for the first time in 15 months was leaving the Mount Sinai Hospital to recover fully after the surgery at the Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility in Uniondale met with his tragic death on his way to recovery.
