A Nigerian man is calling for justice over the killing of his brother-in-law, Collins Osagie, at the hands of rampaging Navy officers stationed at Naval Base AfroMedia Bus stop Along Lagos-Badagry Express Way on Monday, August 17.
According to a source familiar with the case, late Osagie, a mechanical engineer, who in an attempt to settle a dispute between a naval officer and a spare parts seller was allegedly beaten to death by the officers.
From being a peacemaker to becoming a statistic, the naval officer identified as Awosanya Olufemi with service number X8921 alongside four other young officers allegedly pounced on Osagie serving him a deal of blows that left him unconscious and later resulted in his death.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana Confirmed the incident, According to Bala, an investigation has commenced in order to get to the root of the matter.
Sports broadcaster, Nnamdi Obanya, who had a meeting with a relative of the deceased, posted photos of the late Osagie on Twitter. He also went on to share a report he received from a bereaved family member.
