A 27-year-old man identified as Damilola Farojoye has been arraigned by The Ebuta Meta Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly killing a staff of Honeywell Foods, Omokhogie Francis Ayogwokha.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Omokhogie intervened when the defendant was fighting with his wife and Farojoye reportedly hit the deceased on the head with a wooden stick, resulting in his death.
Inspector Chinalu Uwadione, who is the prosecuting counsel of the case told the court that the defendant committed the offence on December 21, 2019, at about 8.30a.m., on Adidas Field, Tolu, Ajegunle, Lagos State.

Farojoye is said to be facing one count of murder but his plea was denied.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Adeola Adedayo, remanded him at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre pending advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions.
Adedayo adjourned the case until February 11, 2020.
